How to get involved in Team RBI Select
Baseball League?
The Team RBI Select Baseball League
is striving to become the most competitive baseball league in the state of N.C.
Below is some general information about our Spring and Fall League.
Spring League:
The Spring League offers competition during weekdays and
or weekends when USSSA tournaments are not being held. The Spring League will consist of 8 to 10 regular season games.
All leagues will have a season ending tournament with a minimum of 3 games. Sign-up for the Spring League will start
January 1st through January 31st. The Spring League will start the first weekend in March.
Each team can request up to 2 weekends off to participate
in USSSA Tournaments.
Fall
League:
Open to
all teams for additional games in a league environment. A great opportunity for teams contemplating competing in the
Spring League to “test the waters” so to speak. League play is weekends only and consists of 8 to 10 games
with a season ending tournament with a minimum of 3 games. The league fees are approximately $150.00. Sign-up
for the Fall League is during the month of August and early September. League play will start on the 3rd weekend
in September.
Each
team can request up to two (2) weekends off to participate in USSSA Tournaments.

How do I get on
a team?
Team
RBI Baseball does not sign-up or register individual players. We provide a structured league environment; Dads
form teams independently just like you. Team RBI Baseball doesn’t put together any teams.
Finding a team is a lot like finding a job, networking through the community of youth baseball. Team RBI Baseball
will provide a forum for individuals and teams who are looking for one another prior to the season beginning in the form of
an open tryout from teams participating in the league. If you would like you son's name on the available players
list, please e-mail us with your child's information. Try-outs: Team RBI Baseball will not hold try-outs. Individual teams
will hold try-outs. Please check our website about the availability of players and teams requesting players.
Editorial note on pro-activity: Particularly in the younger ages 8-12, but in all other ages as well,
your opportunity for success in obtaining a team situation for your child is greatly enhanced if you can take a more
participatory/hands-on attitude about forming a team. However, if you hold up your hand and say “Hey, I’m
putting together an 10-year-old team to play in Team RBI Baseball, “Spring or Fall League,” You’ll
soon have a guy who played college ball and he’s willing to run the coaching end. You will have a guy who has an older
kid who has been playing in the league a few years and knows the league. You will have players calling you and you will have
your kid playing here, and if the team hangs together after the Spring or Fall League, great, if not, you will at least have
gotten exposed to the network of other like- minded parents and kids, and have established a base or reference point for the
Team RBI Baseball environment. Sure everybody would like to go out and jump on a team that already has ten
other established, committed players; but this may be a more realistic avenue to ensure that your kid is playing here this
spring or fall, if that is what you’re interested in.
